Emilie's journey through law school at the University of Ottawa was marked by her deep engagement with the academic community. Her leadership as President of the French Common Law Student Association and her active involvement in the Faculty’s Curriculum Committee underscore her dedication to legal education and student welfare. Her participation in the prestigious Laskin Moot Competition in 2018 further exemplifies her commitment to excellence in legal advocacy.

Beyond her academic achievements, Emilie contributed significantly to legal scholarship as the Executive Editor of the French-language edition of the Ottawa Law Review. Her roles as a Teaching Assistant in property law and a Research Assistant for Professor Alain Roussy enriched her understanding of professional responsibility and legal ethics, critical areas in her current practice. Her volunteer work, including advocating for unrepresented taxpayers and hosting a tax preparation clinic, reflects her commitment to community service and pro bono work.

Before embarking on her legal career, Emilie pursued a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Microbiology and Immunology at McGill University.
