Eric Frydrych

Eric Frydrych, an integral part of the Business Law group in Toronto, specializes in corporate law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate finance. His expertise has significantly contributed to various high-profile transactions, cementing his reputation in the field.

In 2022, Eric undertook an eight-month secondment at OMERS, enhancing their global mergers and acquisitions strategy and overseeing a range of corporate finance and governance issues. This experience built on his previous internship with OMERS during his law studies in the summer of 2016, offering him a deep dive into the world of corporate law from both a legal and business perspective.

Eric's notable contributions include facilitating GE Digital's acquisition of Opus One Solutions Energy Corporation and advising Teranet during its sale of Do Process to Dye & Durham. He played a pivotal role in the acquisition of BGIS by CCMP Capital Advisors, LP, from Brookfield Business Partners and guided a syndicate of agents led by RBC Capital Markets through Canadian Core Real Estate LP's inaugural senior notes offering. Notably, he was involved in the financing of the acquisition of Northview Apartment REIT by Starlight Investments and KingSett Capital, marking the largest multi-residential deal in Canada's history.

Eric's academic background includes a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto, equipping him with both the legal acuity and business savvy necessary for his field.
