Karen Luu, a key associate in our Toronto-based Business Law Group, brings a sharp focus to corporate law, specializing in private equity fund formation and mergers and acquisitions. Her expertise extends to guiding both institutional clients and family offices through the intricacies of primary, secondary, and co-investment opportunities, as well as assisting sponsors with fund formation activities.

Karen's significant contributions to the field are evidenced through her work on notable transactions, such as facilitating T-Base Communications' acquisition by Thompson Street Capital Partners, advising Manulife on the sale of Regional Power Inc., and aiding Noventa-Toronto Western L.P. in its agreement with the University Health Network. Her involvement in City Capital Ventures' acquisition of franchisee businesses further showcases her prowess in navigating complex corporate transactions.

Earning her J.D. in 2018 and a business degree in Finance & Administration in 2014 from the University of Western Ontario, Karen's foundation in law and business is robust.
