Kate Martini

Kate brings a vibrant mix of legal expertise and community involvement to our Litigation Group in Toronto. With a background that blends the study of the history of science, medicine, and public health from Yale University with a Juris Doctor degree from Queen's University, she offers a unique perspective to her general litigation practice.

During her time at Queen’s University, Kate's commitment to both academic and extracurricular activities shone brightly. She not only contributed as a representative on the Law Student Society but also played a pivotal role as Co-Chair of the Lawlapalooza Committee. Their efforts culminated in raising nearly $7,000, which was used to enrich the lives of Kingston's youth by providing them with musical instruments, showcasing her dedication to making a difference in the community.

Kate's passion extends beyond the courtroom and into the world of sports. As a former varsity hockey player at Yale, she continued to share her love for the game by taking on the role of assistant coach for the varsity women’s hockey team at Queen’s. This involvement in sports underlines her team spirit and leadership skills, qualities that undoubtedly enhance her legal practice.

Before embarking on her legal education, Kate gained practical experience in the legal field as a paralegal at a boutique healthcare collections firm in Washington, DC. This early exposure to the intricacies of law, combined with her extensive educational background, laid a solid foundation for her career in litigation.

In 2021, Kate was officially admitted to the Ontario Bar, affirming her qualifications to practice law in one of Canada’s most dynamic legal landscapes. Her membership in the Law Society of Ontario is a testament to her commitment to upholding the standards and ethics of the legal profession.

Kate’s diverse experiences, from her academic achievements to her active involvement in sports and community initiatives, contribute significantly to her approach to litigation and dispute resolution. Her journey reflects a balanced blend of intellectual pursuit, community service, and leadership, making her a valuable asset to our team and the clients she serves.
