Mitchell Lui

Mitchell Lui, a vital member of our Business Law Group in Toronto, has quickly distinguished himself with his extensive expertise in business law. He provides comprehensive legal advice to clients on a variety of critical matters, including private equity deals, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, and broader corporate concerns.

Mitchell's legal journey began with a JD from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law in 2020, following his completion of a Bachelor of Arts at the University of California, Berkeley, with a double major in English and Media Studies. His academic pursuits also took him to the University of Amsterdam, where he spent a semester enriching his legal education.

During his time in law school, Mitchell played significant roles, including serving as a Senior Associate Editor for the University of Toronto Faculty of Law Review and as Vice-President of the Asia Law Society. He also contributed as a research assistant to faculty members, showcasing his dedication to legal scholarship. Further, his commitment to the legal community was evident through his tenure as a student director on the board of the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers.

In 2021, Mitchell was called to the Ontario bar, marking the beginning of his professional practice. He is an active member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Ontario Bar Association, reflecting his deep engagement with the legal profession.
