Selina Mamo

In Toronto's Gowling WLG office, Selina Mamo plays a pivotal role as the Manager of Associate and Law Clerk Programs. Her responsibilities encompass steering the firm's efforts in professional development and recruitment for its legal professionals. Selina's work is deeply rooted in fostering career growth through coaching, mentoring, and performance management, aiming to enhance retention and professional advancement for the firm's associates and law clerks. Additionally, as the Co-Chair of Toronto's Momentum Committee, she is at the forefront of pushing forward the firm's diversity, inclusion, and equity initiatives.

Driven by a passion for nurturing talent, Selina is dedicated to guiding the firm's legal staff on their career paths. She actively engages with Gowling WLG's leadership and various professionals to align with and contribute to the firm's strategic objectives.

Selina's professional background includes a stint in litigation at a top international law firm in Toronto, before which she completed her legal education, earning a J.D. from Windsor Law School and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Wilfrid Laurier University.

Away from her professional endeavors, Selina finds joy in the company of her family and friends, exploring culinary adventures with her children, and indulging in the latest popular TV series. Her journey in law was officially recognized in 2014 when she was called to the Ontario Bar, marking the start of her commitment to legal excellence and professional development within the legal community.
