Zainab Fayyaz

Zainab Fayyaz, a dedicated Associate within the Real Property and Planning Group in Toronto, brings a comprehensive approach to her real estate law practice. Her journey into law began with a unique dual JD program from the University of Windsor and the University of Detroit Mercy, laying a solid foundation for her legal career.

Before her time at McCarthy Tétrault, Zainab honed her skills at a well-known international law firm based in Hamilton, where she completed her articles. This experience provided her with a broad perspective on legal practices and client needs across borders.

During her law school years, Zainab was deeply involved in community service through Michigan Legal Help and actively participated in student-led organizations. Her engagement in moot court competitions further sharpened her legal reasoning and advocacy skills. A summer externship with Judge Jansen at the Michigan Court of Appeals offered her firsthand insights into the appellate process, enriching her understanding of legal principles.

Zainab's academic journey also includes a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Toronto, where she balanced her studies with various roles at a national bank.
