Dayna Christy

Dayna has rejoined Polley Faith, stepping into the role of an articling student following her initial experience with the firm as a summer student. Her academic journey led her through the University of Ottawa's Common Law Program, where she not only excelled academically but also showcased her prowess in international arbitration by competing in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot during her second and third years. Impressively, Dayna was recognized as an Honorable Mention for Best Individual Oralist on both occasions, and her teams were commended for their outstanding written submissions.

During her law school tenure, Dayna dedicated herself to the Ottawa Law Review as the Submissions Manager, contributing significantly to its operations. She further extended her legal experiences as a division leader and caseworker within the Tenant Division at her school’s Community Legal Clinic, where she provided crucial support to those in need. Dayna also delved into research, focusing on the critical issues of race and racism within Canada's legal framework.

Before embarking on her legal education, Dayna managed several residential communities as a property manager, demonstrating her leadership and organizational skills. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo, laying a solid foundation for her subsequent legal pursuits.

Looking forward, Dayna is poised to be called to the Ontario bar in 2024, marking the next chapter in her promising legal career.
