Brian Kuchar

Brian Kuchar joined WeirFoulds LLP as a partner, focusing his practice on construction litigation. With a rich background in law, coupled with significant experience in both commercial and civil litigation, Brian has developed a versatile practice. His expertise extends to handling intricate matters involving construction liens, commercial leasing disputes, employment law, and debtor/creditor issues. Brian's client roster encompasses a broad spectrum, from multinational corporations and government bodies to entrepreneurs and private individuals.

Brian's adeptness in navigating the legal landscape is evident through his consistent appearances before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and Small Claims Court. His prior role as a Senior Policy Advisor at Queen's Park, where he delivered in-depth policy recommendations to cabinet members on various justice-related topics, has further honed his strategic and analytical skills. This unique blend of legal and policy-making experience enriches his approach to client representation, offering a comprehensive perspective on each case.

Brian's academic achievements include winning the A.S. Pattillo Prize for advocacy at Dalhousie University, underscoring his exceptional skills in legal argumentation. His prowess was further recognized during his participation in the Laskin Moot, where he ranked among the top competitors nationally in constitutional and administrative law.

Currently, Brian serves as a Member-at-Large for the Ontario Bar Association's Construction and Infrastructure Law Section for the 2022-2024 term, contributing his knowledge and expertise to the broader legal community in Ontario.
