Emma Romano

In 2018, Emma Romano was admitted to the Ontario Bar, marking the beginning of a dynamic legal career rooted in her diverse educational background, which includes a J.D. from the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law (2017) and a B.A. in Journalism from the University of King's College (2013). Emma's practice spans several key areas, including aviation and transportation law, media and defamation, technology and intellectual property, alongside commercial and civil litigation.

Emma's legal prowess is evident through her successful appearances at all court levels in Ontario and the Federal Court of Canada, showcasing her adeptness in litigation. Before her tenure at WeirFoulds, Emma enriched her legal experience at a boutique litigation firm and a national full-service firm in Toronto, complementing her prior experience in journalism as an Associate Producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. This unique blend of media and legal experience positions Emma as a versatile and insightful advocate for her clients.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Emma is actively involved in the community, notably through her participation in Nightwood Theatre’s Lawyer Show from 2018 to 2022, highlighting her commitment to leveraging her talents beyond the courtroom to support and engage with her community.
