Dan Malone, now serving as an associate at Lenczner Slaght, rejoined the firm following a prestigious clerkship at the Court of Appeal for Ontario. During his time as a law student with the firm, Dan worked on a broad spectrum of cases, including those related to commercial disputes, construction, and professional liability.

He completed his legal education at the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law in 2022, graduating summa cum laude. Dan's academic excellence was recognized through awards in constitutional law, international law, and insurance law. He also showcased his problem-solving skills and competitive spirit internationally in the Jessup and Vis moot competitions and contributed to the Ottawa Law Review.

Before embarking on his journey in law, Dan earned a Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) from the University of King’s College, after which he pursued a career in journalism as a newspaper reporter and editor.

Dan was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2023, equipped with a JD from the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law – Common Law obtained in 2022, and a Bachelor of Journalism (Honours) from the University of King’s College, awarded in 2014.

Lenczner Slaght, known as Canada's premier litigation firm, announced the addition of Dan among nine new associates in September 2023, further enhancing the firm’s rich reservoir of talent and expertise. Earlier, in May 2021, the firm also welcomed a diverse and creative summer student class, underscoring its commitment to solving complex legal challenges for its clients through a dynamic and skilled team.
