Kate Costin, serving as an associate at Lenczner Slaght, specializes in a range of complex litigation areas. Her expertise spans commercial litigation, employment law, construction and infrastructure cases, and regulatory proceedings where she represents both sides of the court.

In her legal career, Kate has represented clients across Ontario's court levels, the Alberta and Saskatchewan Courts of King’s Bench, the Saskatchewan Court of Appeal, and before various administrative bodies such as the Consent and Capacity Board and the Human Rights Tribunal.

Before her journey into law, Kate was immersed in the creative arts, contributing her talents to costume and prop design on and off Broadway. Her experience extends to working with major networks like NBC, HBO, and F/X Network on various television and film projects.

Her legal practice areas include commercial litigation, construction and infrastructure, employment law, professional liability and regulation, and public law. Kate was admitted to the Bar in Ontario in 2017, after completing an impressive educational background that includes a Certificate in Construction Law from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2023, a JD from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2016, an AAS in Fashion Design from Parsons The New School for Design in 2010, and a BFA in Theatre from the University of Victoria in 2008.
