Keely Kinley is part of the legal team at Lenczner Slaght as an associate. Her early legal career at Lenczner Slaght was marked by a diverse array of experiences, tackling everything from the intricacies of public law and professional liability to the multifaceted dynamics of class actions, appeals, and complex commercial disputes.

Her journey into law formally began with her JD studies at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where she distinguished herself through a blend of academic and extracurricular achievements. Keely contributed as a Research Assistant and led a student working group at the David Asper Centre for Constitutional Rights, honing her focus on constitutional law. Her involvement with the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Law Review as part of its Senior Board, coupled with her active engagement in the mooting program, showcased her dedication to legal scholarship and advocacy. Keely's prowess as a mooter was evident when she clinched the Best Respondent title at the Callaghan Memorial Moot in 2020, later ascending to a leadership role as a Co-Chief Justice of the Callaghan. Her commitment to nurturing future legal talents was evident in her role coaching peers for the Hamish Stewart Cup.

Before venturing into law, Keely's academic path led her to McGill University, where she earned her BA in Philosophy and Political Science with Distinction. During her time at McGill, she was recognized as a Student Fellow of the Yan P. Lin Centre’s Research Group on Constitutional Studies, delving into the depths of constitutional law and political theory. Beyond the confines of academia, Keely embraced global experiences, teaching outdoor education in Prague, Czech Republic, and contributing her skills to a non-profit organization focused on promoting the rule of law in Central and Eastern Europe.

Keely was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2022, marking the beginning of her promising legal career grounded in a rich tapestry of legal, academic, and international experiences.
