Amir Farahani is an integral part of the Corporate Group as an associate, where he specializes in mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity, capital markets, alongside a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial law practices.

As part of his professional journey, Amir is affiliated with the Law Society of Ontario, demonstrating his adherence to the standards and ethics of the legal profession.

Amir’s academic credentials are rooted in a J.D. from Queen’s University and a B.Comm. from the University of Saskatchewan, marking his well-rounded educational background in both law and commerce. His official admission to the Ontario Bar was in 2021, marking the beginning of his legal practice in the province.

Among his notable contributions, Amir played a significant role in advising a Canderel Real Estate Property Inc.-led consortium, which included FrontFour Capital Group LLC, on its monumental C$5.7 billion acquisition of Cominar Real Estate Investment Trust, along with subsequent asset sales to Group Mach and Blackstone.

He was also instrumental in facilitating Arcadis N.V.’s all-cash C$873 million acquisition of IBI Group Inc., showcasing his capability in managing large-scale transactions.

Further, Amir contributed to the successful US$830 million acquisition of GaN Systems Inc. by Infineon Technologies AG, underscoring his involvement in significant international deals.
