Cara Cornacchia

Cara Cornacchia serves as the Director of Associate Programs in the Toronto office, where she oversees the comprehensive management of the associate program. Her responsibilities span performance evaluation, career advancement, engagement strategies, retention efforts, lateral hiring, and the coordination of secondment opportunities.

Additionally, Cara actively participates in the Associates Committee, contributing to the development and implementation of policies affecting associates.

In her professional affiliations, Cara is associated with the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the National Association for Law Placement (NALP), underscoring her active involvement in the legal community.

Before embracing her current administrative role, Cara contributed her expertise as a senior associate in the Corporate Group of the same office. Her legal practice encompassed securities, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, alongside a broad spectrum of corporate law matters.

Cara's academic credentials are impressive, holding a J.D. with Honours from Bond University and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University, where she was named to the Dean’s Honour List. Her admission to the Ontario Bar came in 2011, marking the commencement of her legal career in the province.
