Colin Burn

Colin Burn operates as a partner within several key groups at his firm, including Mergers & Acquisitions, Capital Markets, Securities, and Mining. He devotes his practice to the realms of corporate and securities law, with particular attention to mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, private equity ventures, stream and royalty financing, and issues surrounding corporate governance.

Colin is well-versed in guiding both international and domestic clients through the intricacies of public and private M&A transactions. His expertise also extends to acting on behalf of issuers and underwriters in both debt and equity financings. Colin’s sectoral experience is broad, covering industries such as mining, real estate, energy and infrastructure, technology, pharmaceuticals, financial services, and consumer goods.

His areas of specialization are wide-ranging, including advising on mergers and acquisitions, navigating securities laws, facilitating capital market transactions, orchestrating initial public offerings, and managing private equity investments.

Colin's academic background is impressive, with degrees from McGill University, including an LL.B., M.B.A., and B.C.L., all completed in 2010, in addition to an Honours B.A. from the University of King’s College, achieved in 2005. His admission to the Ontario Bar in 2012 marked the formal start of his legal practice in the province.
