Daniel Borlack, a partner within the Mergers & Acquisitions Group, dedicates his practice to both public and private mergers and acquisitions, including joint ventures and related areas. He specializes in cross-border and private equity transactions, offering guidance on corporate governance, securities, and a broad range of corporate and commercial issues. Daniel has provided counsel to corporations and private equity funds in Canada and the U.S. across diverse sectors like retail, mining, food and beverage, healthcare, media, and financial services.

His professional affiliations include memberships in the New York Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Law Society of Ontario, reflecting his broad legal expertise and recognition.

Before his time with Stikeman Elliott, Daniel honed his skills in merger, acquisition, and securities law at a prominent New York law firm for over four years.

Some of his recent involvements include advising Novo Nordisk A/S on its acquisition of Inversago Pharma Inc., guiding Forbion European Acquisition Corp. through its combination with enGene, Inc., and assisting Lowe’s Companies, Inc. with the sale of its Canadian retail operations to Sycamore Partners.
