Daniel's expertise spans the broad spectrum of commercial litigation, including securities, class actions, and intricate contractual disagreements. With a strong presence in both provincial and national courts, as well as before regulatory bodies like the Ontario Securities Commission, his legal acumen is both diverse and profound.

Daniel's journey in law commenced at our firm, where he began as an articled student in the 2015/2016 term. His background is enriched by his experiences outside Canada, including a stint at a prestigious law firm in New York and internships at the Supreme Court of the United States, the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration, and the City of Toronto, where he honed his skills as a prosecutor.

A highlight reel of Daniel's case history includes defending a group of U.S. investment funds against a monumental C$1.3-billion lawsuit tied to a significant telecommunications deal, representing a Canadian mining company director in a regulatory enforcement action by the OSC, and defending a global pharmaceutical giant against a nationwide class action. His versatility is further demonstrated in actions involving major auditing firms, software companies, corporate executives, and broker-dealers, showcasing his ability to navigate the complex interplay between corporate conduct and legal standards.

Daniel's contributions to legal scholarship include co-authoring insightful analyses on notable Canadian securities decisions, the implications of expert evidence in class actions, and the OSC's evolving approach to quasi-criminal proceedings. His educational foundation is robust, marked by a JD/MBA from the University of Toronto and a BA from Cornell University, both of which have contributed to his analytical and strategic approach to litigation.
