Daniel Weiss

Daniel, serving as an associate within the Corporate Group, offers guidance on a broad array of matters such as mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities, corporate governance, as well as private equity and venture capital deals. He also delves into advising on public and private investment funds, touching on their formation and structuring.

Currently, Daniel is enhancing his expertise through a secondment in the New York office.

As a committed member of both the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Bar Association, Daniel actively participates in the legal community.

His path to law included a secondment with the legal department of a significant Canadian bank during his articles, where he tackled various commercial and regulatory issues, including those related to mergers and acquisitions and technology innovation.

Daniel's educational journey involved graduating from the J.D. program at Western University, including a semester at the University of Hong Kong focusing on international business law. Before embarking on his law career, he was a compliance officer at a major Canadian investment firm and played varsity baseball at Queen’s University, where he earned an Honours Bachelor of Science in biology.

Daniel's legal expertise encompasses mergers and acquisitions, private equity, securities, corporate governance, and capital markets, showcasing a well-rounded skill set.

He graduated with a J.D. from Western University in 2018 and obtained an Honours B.Sc. from Queen’s University in 2014. Daniel was admitted to the Ontario bar in 2019, marking the start of his promising career in law.
