David Morson

David Morson is an integral part of the Corporate Group as an associate, where his legal practice encompasses a wide range of sectors including mergers and acquisitions, private equity, securities, capital markets, banking, alongside general corporate and commercial law.

Holding membership with the Law Society of Ontario, David upholds the professional and ethical standards required in the legal field.

His expertise is broad, covering vital areas such as Mergers & Acquisitions, Private Equity, Securities, Capital Markets, and Banking & Finance, demonstrating his versatility and depth of knowledge in corporate law.

David's educational journey is marked by a J.D. from Queen’s University and an Honours B.A. from the University of Western Ontario, Ivey Business School, equipping him with a strong legal and business foundation. His official entry into legal practice came with his bar admission in Ontario in 2022.

In his recent professional undertakings, David played a pivotal role in Shawcor Ltd.’s C$150M private placement of senior unsecured notes, assisted Lowe’s Companies, Inc. in divesting its Canadian retail operations to Sycamore Partners, and contributed to several billion-dollar note issuances by a leading global automotive manufacturer, coordinating with a consortium of Canadian securities dealers. These engagements highlight his involvement in significant financial transactions and his capability to navigate complex legal landscapes.
