Emilie Andrews

Emilie specializes in guiding clients through various capital market endeavors, including public offerings, private security placements, financings, and mergers and acquisitions. Her expertise extends to corporate governance and ensuring clients meet their ongoing securities regulatory obligations.

Before her tenure at Blakes, Emilie honed her securities law acumen within the legal division of a prominent national investment fund management firm based in Toronto.

Her wealth of experience includes counseling a host of ETF sponsors and asset management firms, among them Purpose Investments Inc., CI Investments Inc., Horizons ETF Management (Canada) Inc., and others, on a variety of matters.

Emilie has also supported numerous mutual fund sponsors with their ongoing offerings and has advised several issuers of closed-end funds on executing "at-the-market" equity distribution programs.

Her academic journey led her from achieving her BA with honors and distinction from Queen's University to completing her JD at Osgoode Hall Law School, culminating in her admission to the Ontario Bar in 2019. Emilie's practice areas include Capital Markets and Investment Products & Asset Management.
