Before his current role, Neil was at the forefront of Career Development at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and also contributed his expertise in career services in Washington, D.C., where he served as the Assistant Dean at Howard University School of Law and as the Director at Georgetown Law Center. In these capacities, Neil provided guidance on career paths and professional growth for students and alumni, while actively participating in initiatives aimed at fostering equity, diversity, and inclusion within the legal field.
Neil's legal practice includes experience in bankruptcy and litigation with a New York law firm and a clerkship in the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York. Furthering his career in a D.C. law firm, Neil focused on securities litigation, government enforcement actions, and defending white-collar cases.
Neil's legal education was completed at Fordham University School of Law (J.D., 2004) after earning his undergraduate degree with honours from the University of Toronto (B.A., 2000). He is admitted to the State Bar of New York (2005) and in the District of Columbia (2007), showcasing a commitment to legal excellence across multiple jurisdictions.
