Rona Ghanbari

Rona Ghanbari currently holds the position of Interim Director of Student Programs in the Toronto office, where she plays a pivotal role in shaping the future legal minds through comprehensive training and mentorship programs.

In her professional journey, Rona is affiliated with several esteemed legal organizations, including the Law Society of Ontario, Young Women in Law, the Ontario Bar Association, and the Canadian Bar Association, showcasing her broad engagement within the legal community.

Before assuming her directorial role, Rona was deeply involved in the Corporate Group as an associate in the Toronto office. Her areas of focus included securities, mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and a wide array of corporate and commercial law matters.

Dedicated to social causes, Rona actively contributes her time to Matthew House Toronto’s Refugee Hearing Program, assisting refugees in their preparation for hearings with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada. Her commitment to human rights extended to her tenure as Editor-in-Chief of Rights Review Magazine at the University of Toronto's Faculty of Law, further underscoring her dedication to advocating for global human rights.

Rona's legal expertise encompasses securities, banking and finance, private equity, mergers and acquisitions, and managing initial public offerings, demonstrating her comprehensive knowledge in the field.

Her academic credentials are distinguished, with a Juris Doctor from the University of Toronto achieved in 2017, and a Joint Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences, summa cum laude, from the University of Ottawa completed in 2014. Rona's admission to the Ontario Bar in 2018 marked the beginning of her legal career in the province.
