Sagar Darar

Sagar Darar plays a pivotal role as an associate in the Pensions & Benefits Group, where he dedicates his expertise to navigating pensions and benefits issues that arise during corporate activities. These activities range from mergers and acquisitions to insolvencies and reorganizations, extending also to pension plan compliance, administration, and investment management.

He maintains affiliations with several professional bodies, including the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association, and the South Asian Bar Association of Toronto, showcasing his commitment to the legal profession.

Before his current position at Stikeman Elliott, which he commenced in 2021, Sagar contributed to the firm as both a summer and articling student, gaining valuable experience that now informs his practice.

Sagar's areas of expertise include pensions and benefits, alongside investment funds and asset management, marking him as a specialist in these fields.

His academic credentials are solid, with a Juris Doctor from Western University achieved in 2020, and an Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences from the University of Ottawa, obtained in 2016. Sagar's formal entrance into the legal profession was marked by his admission to the Ontario Bar in 2021, beginning his legal career in earnest.
