Spencer Abraham

Spencer Abraham serves as an associate, integrating his expertise across the Real Estate, Emissions Trading & Climate Change, and Mining Groups. His professional journey is marked by a focus on commercial real estate transactions, carbon finance, and metal streaming deals. Spencer's proficiency spans the breadth of commercial real estate endeavors, such as buying, selling, leasing, financing, and development. His involvement extends to stream finance operations within the mining and climate change arenas. Furthermore, Spencer provides counsel on navigating climate change impacts in business deals, engaging in emissions trading, carbon offset markets, carbon credit deals, and adhering to climate change emissions regulations.

An active member of the Law Society of Ontario, Spencer's legal foundation was fortified at Stikeman Elliott, where he initially contributed as a summer and articling student before ascending to an associate position in 2021.

Spencer's areas of specialization include navigating the complexities of Real Estate transactions, strategizing on Emissions Trading & Climate Change initiatives, and contributing to Projects & Infrastructure and Mining sectors.

Educationally, Spencer has adorned his legal expertise with a Certificate in Climate Risk and the Law from Osgoode Hall Law School and holds a Juris Doctor and a Bachelor of Arts from Queen’s University. His legal acumen was formally recognized with his admission to the Ontario Bar in 2021.

Among his recent professional contributions, Spencer played a pivotal role advising Körber AG as Canadian counsel on its strategic acquisition of Siemens AG’s worldwide mail and parcel business, alongside assisting FGF Brands in its substantial C$1.2 billion purchase of the Weston Foods fresh and frozen bakery business.
