Heather Fisher

Heather Fisher, a dedicated associate at Gowling WLG's Toronto office, contributes her expertise to the firm's Advocacy department. Her legal practice spans across commercial litigation, including areas such as product liability, municipal liability, class actions, and the nuanced realms of insolvency and restructuring law. Heather's adept representation extends to administrative tribunals, notably at the Landlord and Tenant Board and various university tribunals.

Heather's academic journey culminated at Osgoode Hall Law School, where she distinguished herself as a senior editor of the Osgoode Hall Law Journal and secured a commendable fourth place in both team and factum categories at the Laskin Moot Competition. Her leadership skills were further showcased through her roles as president of the Legal & Literary Society, a senator to York University, and director of external communications/networking for the Osgoode Women's Network.

Committed to giving back to the community, Heather actively volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario's Free Legal Advice Hotline and the Small Claims Duty Counsel program. Her legal career in Ontario officially began with her call to the bar in 2018, following her receipt of the Dean's Gold Key in 2017 for her contributions and achievements during her time at law school.

Heather's educational credentials are impressive and diverse, holding a Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School, a Master of Arts from the University of British Columbia, and both a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) from McMaster University.
