Katherine Yurkovich

Kate Yurkovich serves as an associate attorney within Gowling WLG's Toronto branch, focusing her expertise within the Financial Services Group. Her legal practice spans a diverse array of commercial law aspects, notably insolvency and secured lending.

Yurkovich provides counsel to a wide range of clients, including secured lenders, debtors, and officers appointed by the court, on matters related to corporate restructuring, bankruptcy, and receivership scenarios.

In addition to her legal practice, Yurkovich holds a position on the Board of Directors for the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) – Ontario Network and contributes to the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) NextGen Global Committee.

Her academic credentials include a Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University. Before her legal studies, she earned an honours degree in Bachelor of Commerce from the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, specializing in global management studies.
