Kristen Kilroy serves as an associate within the Intellectual Property Group at Gowling WLG, located in Toronto. Her expertise spans IP litigation and the comprehensive management of trademark cases, from prosecution to defense.

With a diverse background in IP law, Kristen has successfully navigated clients through disputes involving trademarks, copyrights, trade secrets, and domain names. As a certified Canadian Trademark Agent, her counsel extends to a wide array of trademark-related issues, from preliminary clearances and registrations to the strategic oversight of trademark portfolios and the vigorous defense of trademark rights. She is adept at handling oppositions and cancellations, ensuring her clients' interests are robustly protected.

Her tenure includes a pivotal secondment at a leading global beverage corporation in 2015, where she contributed her skills to a variety of intellectual property and corporate branding initiatives.

Kristen embarked on her legal journey at Gowling WLG as a student-at-law in September 2014, transitioning to an associate role by October 2015 after her call to the Ontario Bar that same year. Her academic foundation includes a Juris Doctor (JD) from Western University, where she graduated with distinction and received several scholarships for her achievements in intellectual property and family law. Prior to her legal studies, she earned bachelor's degrees in economics and biology from Queen's University, both with distinction. Her early involvement in legal clinics and Pro Bono Students Canada underscores her long-standing dedication to legal service and excellence.
