I have a relative (my mother) in the hospital. She was picked up by the police wandering and confused in freezing temperatures- 3 days ago. She displays signs of Dementia and has for many years. The doctor in the hospital has deemed her as incapable to make medical decisions. My husband and I are concerned as we don’t know if she has a will or as appointed a power of attorney financial and medical. I’d like to know how I can become her POA/ legal guardian.
