Ian MacLeod serves as counsel at Lenczner Slaght, where his legal prowess spans a broad spectrum of litigation areas. He is well-versed in commercial litigation, tackling everything from class actions and contractual disputes to shareholder controversies. In addition, Ian's practice prominently features employment law and professional liability and regulation. He is particularly active in representing physicians in both civil and regulatory contexts and has undertaken prosecution roles for professional regulators like The Law Society of Upper Canada and the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. Ian's courtroom experience encompasses appearances across all Ontario courts and before various administrative boards and tribunals.

During his legal education, Ian advocated for clients in Ontario courts and contributed to law reform efforts through the Community and Legal Aid Services Programme at Osgoode Hall Law School. He also enriched his academic journey by working as a research assistant in securities law.

Before embarking on his legal career, Ian distinguished himself in competitive swimming, representing Canada at the World University Games and earning recognition as the University of Toronto's Male Athlete of the Year.

His areas of legal practice include arbitration, commercial litigation, employment, and professional liability and regulation. Ian was admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2011, following his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2010 and an HBSc with High Distinction in Human Biology and Archaeological Science from the University of Toronto in 2006.
