Bukola Adelusi

Bukola Adelusi, an invaluable associate within the business law division at Goodmans, specializes in a range of corporate practices. Her expertise spans across public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, securities law, private equity, and corporate governance.

Holding an LL.B from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, Bukola further enhanced her legal education by achieving a master's in corporate law from Western University, where she graduated with distinction.

Her journey at Goodmans began in 2021 as an articling student, transitioning to an associate role in 2022. Prior to this, Bukola garnered significant experience in Nigeria, working as an associate at a leading law firm where she provided counsel on various mergers & acquisitions, banking, finance, and private equity transactions.

Her legal prowess encompasses banking and financial services, capital markets, and both private and venture capital equity, positioning her as a key player in the field.

Bukola's academic credentials include not only her degrees from Western University and the University of Ibadan but also her qualification from The Nigerian Law School, where she earned her B.L in 2016. She is a member of prestigious legal associations including the Law Society of Ontario, the Nigerian Bar Association, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Canadian Association of Black Lawyers, underscoring her commitment to the legal profession.

These include significant developments in financial services regulatory practices, such as the OSFI’s draft advisory on technology and cyber security incident reporting and the new guidelines to manage third-party risks.
