5 out of 5 stars

We discussed my case in detail, and Chris laid out a strategy that was both straightforward and felt personalized to my circumstances. What impressed me most was his confidence, not just in his ability but in the strength of my case, which really helped ease my anxiety about the whole process.

One thing that stood out to me was Chris’s reputation as one of London's best trial lawyers, and though my case didn’t end up going to trial, it was reassuring to know that if it did, I’d have one of the best fighting for me. His proactive approach meant we settled out of court, and I received compensation that was way beyond what I initially thought was possible.

Chris’s professionalism extends beyond just him; his team at Beckett Personal Injury Lawyers were incredibly supportive and responsive throughout my case. It’s clear they follow his lead, prioritizing their clients’ success and well-being above all else.

For anyone in London facing the daunting world of personal injury claims, I can’t recommend Chris Beckett enough. His expertise, combined with a genuine commitment to his clients’ best interests, makes him stand out in a field where it’s easy to feel like just another case file. Thanks to him, I’m on my way to recovery, both physically and financially, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.

Chris Beckett, the visionary behind Beckett Personal Injury Lawyers, spearheads the firm's Insurance Defence Group while also contributing his expertise to the Plaintiff Injury Group. Originating from Windsor, Ontario, and growing up in London, Chris pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Western Ontario, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree. His academic journey continued in Toronto at Osgoode Hall Law School, from which he graduated in 1996. After being called to the bar in 1998, he embarked on his legal career by co-founding Ledroit Beckett in 1999, and later established Beckett Personal Injury Lawyers in 2013, focusing his practice on civil litigation, particularly in personal injury and insurance defence.

Throughout the past two decades, Chris has represented a myriad of clients who have suffered injuries due to the negligence of others, ranging from motor vehicle accidents to medical malpractice. His dual role, representing both injured claimants and defending some of Canada's leading insurance firms, has endowed him with a unique perspective on insurance complexities, enhancing his strategic approach in lawsuits against insurance entities.

Chris's prowess in the courtroom has not gone unnoticed, earning him the reputation as one of London's premier trial lawyers. His ability to secure settlements outside the courtroom through negotiations or mediations has been equally impressive. Among his notable achievements is the record-setting Jury award in Tremblay v Deelstra for a soft tissue injury case, a verdict that was upheld by the Court of Appeal. Another significant victory was in Vuong v. St. Joseph’s Health Care London, where he secured a favorable judgment for a young child who suffered catastrophic brain injuries due to medical negligence. Additionally, Chris played a pivotal role as co-counsel in a class action lawsuit following a VIA Rail train derailment that left many passengers with severe injuries.

Beyond his legal practice, Chris is actively involved in the legal community as a member of the Ontario Bar Association, the Middlesex Law Association, and The Advocates’ Society, often sharing his knowledge through presentations to both young lawyers and medical professionals. His engagements include presentations at The University of Western Ontario, the London Health Sciences Centre, and the Canadian Association of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.

When not in the courtroom or the office, Chris is deeply rooted in the London community, passionately supporting his daughter and son in their figure skating and ice hockey endeavors, respectively, at local arenas.
