Lauren Tarasuk

Lauren Tarasuk, an associate in the Pension & Benefits group at Koskie Minsky, embarked on her legal journey with the firm as a summer student in 2015, later returning to articulate in both the Labour and Pensions Departments. Admitted to the Ontario Bar in 2017, Lauren has since dedicated herself to navigating the complex fields of pension, benefits, privacy, and employment law, offering invaluable counsel and representation.

Her practice is particularly focused on assisting employees, trade unions, plan administrators, trustees, and their advisors on various legal matters. Lauren's litigation experience spans appearances before the Ontario Superior Court and engagements with administrative bodies like the Human Rights Tribunal and the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Notably, she has served as the privacy head for a government organization, providing expertise on governance issues.

Hailing from Northern Ontario, Lauren takes pride in being part of the first graduating class from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law at Lakehead University. Her time in law school was marked by significant involvement in community legal services and research assistance to faculty members, showcasing her commitment to legal scholarship and advocacy. Lauren's academic excellence was recognized through several awards, and she notably represented her school at the Wilson Equality Law Moot.

With a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University, Lauren's educational background complements her legal expertise, providing a well-rounded perspective on the issues facing her clients.
