Her academic background is not just limited to law; she boasts a Bachelor of Science in Genetics and a Master of Science in Biology from prestigious institutions. Before delving into law, Catherine contributed her skills to a healthcare communications agency, where she played a crucial role in developing medical content for both physicians and patients, bridging the gap between complex healthcare information and its accessibility.

Her time in law school was marked by an impressive commitment to serving the community. Catherine engaged in several volunteer initiatives, including Pro Bono Student Canada's efforts to educate elementary students about the legal system and providing legal assistance to low-income residents through the Student Legal Assistance program. Her linguistic capabilities allowed her to further contribute by working on projects aimed at enhancing legal accessibility for French-speaking individuals in Alberta, showcasing her dedication to broadening justice access.
