Karl Boulanger

He has successfully represented numerous pharmaceutical companies in claims associated with various medications and medical devices, alongside defending multinational beauty retailers and an automotive manufacturer against product liability claims. Karl has also provided counsel to entities such as multinational sales corporations, a leading digital platform, a premier airline, a global ticketing company, and several financial institutions in Québec on consumer protection issues.

Additionally, Karl offers regulatory guidance to pharmaceutical companies operating within Québec, drawing from his prior experience in medical and disciplinary law where he defended healthcare professionals.

His legal prowess is evident in cases like the defense of RB Health in Quebec and British Columbia against class actions alleging misrepresentation of over-the-counter medications, and representing a major Canadian bank in a class action regarding deposit account fees. Karl has also been pivotal in a commercial dispute involving OHL Construction and the construction of the CHUM, as well as defending a global beauty manufacturer in class actions related to a hair treatment product.

Karl is deeply committed to advocacy for sexual and gender diversity, serving as co-chair of the Sexual and Gender Diversity Alliance of the Québec branch of the Canadian Bar Association and contributing significantly to Montréal Pride. Educated at the University of Sherbrooke with an LLB and a Graduate Diploma in Business Management, Karl was admitted to the Québec bar in 2020.
