This is Rutland county council pledge on their own website but this is the reality of those words
In November last year a seriously ill lady in Rutland who was being cared for by an unpaid carer
Had her benefits stopped just before Christmas without any reason and without any thought of
what this might do to somebody with paranoid psychosis with a long history of mental illness , but even more worrying her only form of support had his benefits stopped as well with no
explanation when he approached Rutland District council he was asked to leave the building or
the police would be called they made up allegations about his behavior and told lies, this I
presume was to stop him gaining information why benefits had been stopped. Now to the
present day Rutland county council have now concocted a fraud investigation against the same
mentally ill lady that involved a fraud officer of the name of Mr m bampkin getting a welfare
check done on the ladies property the welfare check if you read the law on it is only used for the
welfare of the person in question not to encroach on the mentally ill ladies privacy and place of
sanctuary the threat was made by telephone call where fraud officer threatened if he wasn't
allowed in the property himself he would get a welfare check to enter premises. I have been a
carer for this lady for the last 10 years I have struggled to get any help for her so I have
managed all the mental health help myself it has been a struggle but I have gained great
knowledge of mental health needs , in the last three years the ladies mental health had started
to improve and I was so excited for her future but because of the disgraceful persecution by
Rutland county council this has had a deprimental effect on the welfare and health of this lady. Unfortunately with the police coming into the property and asking personal questions about
bank accounts and wanting to go upstairs to see where she is sleeping this intrusion has made
the seriously ill lady very very poorly her mental health has deteriorated and has thoughts of
ending her life this in my opinion should not happen in today's world where we care for people
with all problems mentally and physical disabilities as so as such I would like to take Rutland
county council to court and put right there wrong doing.
