Beau Atkins, driven by his own challenging experiences within the family justice system, founded Evolve Family Law with a visionary approach. Determined to enhance service delivery, he seamlessly integrated technology into every facet of the firm's operations, ensuring both legal and business processes were optimized for the benefit of clients and the wider community.
Atkins' innovative strategies didn't stop there. He boldly introduced flat-rate billing and the unbundling of legal services, shaking up traditional billing practices to make legal assistance more accessible and transparent. An interesting tidbit about him is his fluency in Spanish, adding a valuable dimension to his ability to connect with a diverse client base.
Over the past two decades, Atkins has been at the forefront of entrepreneurship, launching ventures across various sectors from construction and cleaning services to tech startups and law practices. His passion lies in addressing and solving critical problems for people through business innovation.
As a member of the Entrepreneurs' Organization since June 2020, he has spent over three years engaging with other business leaders in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, sharing insights and learning from the collective expertise of the group.
Under his leadership, Evolve Family Law has grown significantly, with Atkins at the helm as CEO since its inception in May 2020. His legal career spans several years, beginning as an articling student focused on family law and litigation at Migneault Greenwood law office, and evolving through roles that have seen him specialize in areas such as civil litigation, aboriginal law, real estate, and wills and estates.
Before his entrepreneurial leap into law, Atkins pursued his education in political science at the University of Victoria, later transitioning to the University of Saskatchewan where he earned his J.D., actively participating in the Law Students' Association and contributing to faculty committees.
Atkins' journey from a student-at-law to a pioneering legal entrepreneur and advocate for modernizing the legal practice reflects his commitment to not just navigating but also improving the legal landscape for both practitioners and clients alike.
