GABBY LYONS focuses her practice on private fund formation. Gabby advises and represents clients in connection with the organization and operation of private funds and their sponsors, along with related legal, regulatory, structuring, governance and transactional matters. Her practice includes representing clients in a range of strategies and structures, including hedge funds, private equity funds, credit funds, “funds of one,” co-investment funds, impact funds, access funds and other private investment vehicles.

In addition, Gabby represents institutional investors and fund of funds clients in connection with their investments in leading private investment funds and co-investments.

Prior to re-joining Sidley, Gabby had an extensive career within family offices and family-owned and controlled businesses, focusing on complex generational succession, governance, and the structuring and operations of family offices.

She earned her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and B.A. from Trinity University.
