Andy Kim joined LPHS after clerking in the Fifth Circuit and practicing at Fenwick & West LLP in San Francisco and Sidley Austin LLP in New York. He has broad experience litigating in state and federal court and advising clients on issues of corporate governance and securities regulation. He has worked on complex matters across industries but is particularly versed in legal issues affecting tech companies, startups, and their founders and investors.
A Dallas native, Andy studied labor relations and English literature at Cornell University. There, he was a member of the University’s “400 Club,” a distinction reserved for student-athletes who achieve a 4.00 GPA. He received his law degree from New York University School of Law, where he was an editor of the NYU Law Review and Korematsu Chair for NYU’s Asian Pacific American Law Students Association. Andy has clerked for judges at both the trial and appellate levels.
Andy maintains an active pro bono practice across causes such as education, criminal justice, and voting rights. He is a Partner with Social Venture Partners Dallas. Outside of work, he enjoys synthesizers, rowing, and aquascaping.
