Jonathan’s clients range from individuals and small privately held businesses to large publicly traded corporations. He focuses on commercial real estate sales, acquisitions and development and complex finance transactions, including portfolio lending, construction lending, commercial mortgage backed securities, conduit lending, corporate and municipal bonds, loan syndications, interest rate caps and swaps, aircraft financing, and other structured finance transactions. Jonathan currently serves as a director of the firm.Jonathan frequently lectures and has authored papers on a variety of subjects, most recently on: LIBOR, high volatility commercial real estate regulations, non-recourse carveouts, Texas title insurance, negotiation and documentation of commercial real estate construction loans and commercial mortgage backed securities.Jonathan holds numerous leadership positions in state and national professional organizations. He serves on Board of Regents of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, on the Board of Governors of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and on the governing council of the State Bar of Texas’ Real Estate, Probate & Trust Law Section.
