Susan is the head of the firm’s Commercial Real Estate practice group and serves as a director on the firm’s managing Board of Directors. Susan has extensive experience representing a broad range of clients, including borrowers, buyers, sellers, investors, developers, landlords, and tenants, in the areas of leasing, financing, development, entity selection and formation, and acquisition and disposition of improved and unimproved commercial projects. In addition, Susan represents financial institutions as indenture trustees in connection with public finance, bonds, and securitizations.

Susan represents commercial landlords of both established and new shopping centers and office projects, as well as retail, office, and industrial tenants, in the negotiation and amendment of leases and various property management issues.

Susan also represents local and national developers acquiring or selling commercial real estate in all phases of a transaction, including contract drafting and negotiation, title review and title insurance issues, site development, and closing documentation.

Susan also represents lenders and borrowers in the documentation and negotiation of sophisticated credit facilities, and represents lenders in loan default workouts and foreclosures.

As indenture trustee counsel, Susan serves as counsel and advisor to corporate trust departments of financial institutions in connection with multi-million dollar municipal and conduit bond issues for, among others, charter schools and local governments.
