JOHN CLAUDE BRANNAN III’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and private equity transactions, with an emphasis on the energy industry. John’s experience and results have earned him recognition by his peers in D Magazine’s “Best Lawyer Under 40” for 2023 and 2024, an award designed to highlight exceptional legal talent under 40 in North Texas.

John earned his J.D., with highest honors, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where he was selected as a member of the Order of the Coif and received the John McHenry Mee Scholar award. During law school, John was also an articles editor for the American Indian Law Review. In 2013, he received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, IN.
