More Information:

Kent Krabill is a highly respected and sought-after trial lawyer. He represents plaintiffs and defendants in a wide range of complex commercial, real estate, environmental, and trade secret disputes. Kent also has a thriving First Amendment practice, challenging commercial speech restrictions on behalf of some of the nation’s largest home service companies—which has resulted in hundreds of municipalities repealing or amending their laws.

As the first person in his family to graduate from college, Kent knows how to roll up his sleeves and figure out how to get the job done right. And his hard work has paid off over the years. While working full-time to pay for his schooling, Kent graduated summa cum laude from the University of Texas at Arlington. Upon graduating, Kent taught children with disabilities and 6th graders for two years while starting a family with his wife, Michelle. During this time, he decided to fulfill his childhood dream and become a lawyer. So, with two kids under 2 years old in tow, Kent and Michelle moved to California where Kent graduated magna cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law. During his time at Pepperdine, Kent served as a law review editor and writing instructor, and also excelled at mock trial and moot court. From there, Kent moved on to clerk for Chief Judge Edith Jones of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Known for his tenacity, creativity, and uncanny ability to connect with both judges and juries, Kent has earned the respect of the legal community—not just in Dallas, but throughout Texas and across the country. He has successfully tried numerous jury and bench trials, conducted dozens of arbitrations and mediations, and handled multiple appeals. He has battled on behalf of both multinational corporations and family farmers. No matter the nature or size of the dispute, clients count on Kent to provide excellent advice and to guide both judges and juries to the right decision.

Kent has also traveled to Uganda with Pepperdine’s Sudreau Global Justice Institute, where he assisted in training and equipping Ugandan defense attorneys, prosecutors, law students, and local judges to implement a more just, efficient, and sustainable criminal justice system, particularly through the introduction of plea bargaining throughout the country. The program is based on the belief that an efficient and ethical justice system is the foundation for any true and lasting democracy.

Kent’s outstanding work has earned him the recognition and respect of his peers, having been selected as a Texas Rising Star by Thomson Reuters every year from 2010-2015 and a Texas Super Lawyer for 2020-2023. He is also one of the reasons why Lynn Pinker Hurst & Schwegmann, LLP is ranked as one of the five Top Commercial Litigation Firms in Texas by the prestigious Chambers and Partners.

Kent and Michelle are the proud parents of two children, who live and work in California. In his free time, Kent enjoys grilling with family and friends, practicing yoga, attending concerts, and traveling the globe with Michelle. He is also a huge fan of Formula 1, the NBA, and Bruce Springsteen.
