Katherine gave me free initial advice on an employment issue. I found her a little stuck up and frosty.  When I was talking about the equality act- she said something like “please don’t quote the equality act at me”. I was using it to convey a point. She said not to pursue anything legally with my employer as I was not likely to succeed and at most get less than £500. 
I then went with my gut and proceeded on my own. I successfully settled out of court and got £3500 and other v useful terms. i’m so glad I trusted my gut and didn’t take her advice.  Please work on the way you address people and don’t talk down to them.
