Traditional aesthetic standards should always be met but they should not necessarily be followed without question.

My personal opinion is that dress codes should not be legal. I believe that a person has the right to wear whatever they choose, as long as it is appropriate for the situation.

If someone chooses to wear shorts and a T-shirt to a job interview, they should be allowed to do so. And if they are not hired, it should not be because of their outfit. The employer should be judging them on their qualifications, not their clothing choice.

If an employee is not performing up to par, the company should first try to help them improve before firing them. If they still can’t meet expectations, then they can be let go. But it shouldn’t be because of their appearance or how they are dressed.
